This program prepares the student for entry into some health professional programs or jobs in the medical field that do not require degrees. These courses provide some of the prerequisites for advanced training in the medical field for such occupations as nursing, dental hygiene, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medical laboratory technician, and radiological sciences.

To earn a certificate of achievement, students must complete the required courses with a “C” grade or higher. Course requirements are typically available in the day and evening. Students may also earn a certificate of achievement in allied health or an associate in science degree in allied health. Students who intend to transfer to a four-year program should consult with a counselor regarding course and program requirements.
